Individual Coaching

What?

One-on-one, non-directive coaching, in person, for established and aspiring executives, leaders, board members, clinicians, partners, consultants – generally for a period of four to six months initially. The focus is on achieving sustainable and meaningful game-changing behaviours.

How?

As coachee you set the agenda. We take time to get to know each other and build the trust that is essential for safe and meaningful conversations, even if they are sometimes quite challenging.  We explore your issues together. We use proven tools and techniques to help you to understand your strengths and the impact you are having on others – these often include 360 reviews. The role as a leadership coach is to listen, to probe, to ask the difficult questions and to unmask your potential fears.

We are often too easily afraid of silence, preferring to fill the void instead. A good leadership coach will respect silence and help you to work through it to allow your thinking to develop. When there is a strong trust base between the coach and coachee, more is heard through silence than could ever be said.

Team Coaching & Facilitation

What?

In person group facilitation and coaching for teams, executive or steering committees and boards. The focus is on optimising team effectiveness, relationships and performance.

How?

Working with individuals is powerful and liberating for the individual, but within any team, mutually accountable relationships are essential. Most teams/working groups/relationships are dysfunctional in some way. Arriving at a recognition of those dysfunctions allows people to work together to overcome them and become much more effective as a result.

A starting point is to ask what type of team are you? Are you a group of individuals who are essentially working for themselves or a number of groups? Or are you a potential team that has the ability to deliver enhanced performance and impact through team togetherness and effectiveness?

The key to it all, whatever the structure of the team, is its ‘purpose’. This is the starting point for development and growth.

I started working with Nick at a period when I was highly dissatisfied with my career; I felt my work relationships were souring and our team had lost cohesiveness. After several sessions of focussed discussion and guided reflection, I have now reached a point where I can enjoy my work again. I feel more confident, empowered and content.
